Bike Belles Wear Moving – Women’s cycling in Sunderland

bike belles profile

Helping women explore Wearside on two wheels whatever their ability or background!

Bike Belles Wear Moving is a cycling project encouraging more women to cycle in Sunderland, Washington and Wearside. All of our activities are free, fun and friendly, we even have free equipment for you to use including bikes and helmets.

We have a range of different activities including weekly ladies-only bike rides on a weekend, family rides, basic bike maintenance and skills sessions and one-to-one, flexible cycle training sessions.

We have rides at a range of distances and levels for all abilities and our rides are always fully supported by our friendly, knowledgeable ride leaders who will help you with any mechanical issues and offer useful cycling advice and encouragement along the way.

Whether you want to ride to work, keep up with the kids or learn to ride this is the group for you! Join us for a ride, learn basic bike maintenance, increase your fitness or just meet new people – come along to an event or get in touch!

This project is funded by the Director of Public Health Sunderland and run by Sustrans.
